Having a live painting at our wedding was one of the most beautiful and special parts of the evening. Ryan was professional, engaging with all the guests, and of course, extremely talented. It's been over a month and guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed watching him work his magic! Truly one of the best things we could've done for our wedding day. The best part is we walked away with an amazing painting that we can cherish forever, so it was an all around amazing experience and would highly recommend to all couples planning a wedding or special event!

What is Live Event Painting?

Live wedding painting is a unique and memorable way to capture the magic of your wedding day. It involves hiring an artist to paint a live portrait of the couple during a live reception, creating a one-of-a-kind artwork that captures the atmosphere, colors, and emotions of the day.

Investing in a live wedding painting is a great way to add a touch of sophistication and elegance to your wedding celebration, while also creating a meaningful piece of art that you can display in your home and share with your loved ones. It's a beautiful and lasting reminder of the love and joy that you and your partner shared on your wedding day.

How Does the Process Work?

During the live painting process, the artist, Ryan, will arrive at the wedding venue a few hours early to set up, take some reference photos with the couple, and pre-paint before the guests arrive.

During this time, Ryan will paint the beginning stages of the portrait, allowing him to capture the atmosphere and feel of the space. While the goal is to complete the painting by the end of the party, some finishing touches may be required at Ryan's studio.

The end result is a beautiful and personalized piece of art that captures the magic and emotion of your wedding day, providing you with a cherished keepsake that you can display in your home and enjoy for years to come.

Details and FAQ's

Process

1. Booking Session
Please fill out the Form on the top of this page and I will be in touch with you by the next business day. You can also email at ryankindsethart@gmail.com for any questions you may have.

2. Deposit
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to set the date in stone. This will confirm Ryan's availability.

3. Painting Consultation
At least a month prior to the big day, we will schedule a painting consultation to discuss the details from the moment we will capture and the elements involved in the painting. This is a chance to make sure we are aligned on the creative direction for your long lasting painting!

4. Event Painting/Moment Capture
On the day of your event, Ryan will arrive 2-3 hours early (or the amount of time available) to setup and start capturing the reference photos for the background. We will take reference shots either pre-ceremony or during the ceremony for the special moment. This will allow Ryan the remainder of the time to work with the reference photos and focus on delivering a detailed painting for the couple.

5. Delivering the Painting
Once the event wraps up, Ryan will have over 75% of the painting done. In some occasions it could be ready to receive following the event. But in order to ensure the painting is truly a masterpiece, it is highly recommended to allow touchups prior to shipping the painting to the couple. The finished painting will be shipped by one month post event.

FAQ

How much does a Live Event Painting cost?

Pricing is dependent on numerous factors including painting size, travel distance, and other details.   You can learn more about our three signature painting collections by requesting our full pricing guide here. We are offering paintings starting at a highly competitive rate in today's current industry pricing due to Ryan's newer entrance into the wedding industry. The pricing will be subject to increases starting in 2024.

What kind of paint/materials do you use?

Oils and in some occassions Gouache. Gouache paint is a unique medium for event painting, as it fast drying, and results in colorful works of art. It is almost like a mix between oil paints and water colors, except instead of being transparent like water colors it is more opaque.

Do you travel? Where are you located?

Yes, I am open to travel nationally and internationally. Gas, flights, and hotels will be included in the pricing breakdown alongside a travel markup.

How do you set up?

I will only require access to an outlet for my easel light and mobile devices. I bring my easel with some camera attachments for documentation purposes and a tripod. Storage of materials stays neatly in my backpack.

What if my venue will only allow you to arrive an hour early?

I am open to what your venue will allow. Just note that this will most likely require for me to finish up in the studio post ceremony.

Are you insured?

Yes, with coverage for up to $1,000,000 and can provide venue-specific insurance certificates upon request.
